Low Emission Priority Parking Spaces
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ has 37 priority parking spaces to provide closer parking for those who choose to use a Low Emission Vehicle for their commute. Electric, plug-in hybrids, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well as many other less common low emission vehicles that are on the (CNG & LPG), are eligible to park in these spaces.
A valid parking permit is required at all times when parking on campus. A valid Employee permit is required when using low emission spaces located in Employee (E) Lots; however, student permits are allowed to park in these spaces after 5:30pm (Mon.-Fri.) and all day on weekends (Sat.-Sun.).
Campus commutes are the largest contributor to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s GHG emissions. These spaces will serve as an additional benefit for those who drive zero emission vehicles and an incentive for others to consider a clean air vehicle as their next vehicle purchase or rental.
