Health and wellness help foster academic success and student development. Long Beach College Promise students at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ have access to diverse services such as free fitness classes, professional counseling, emergency housing, and basic medical care.
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ is home to 11 NCAA Division 1 sports. The mission of is to enrich the lives of student-athletes through academic and athletic success while embracing an inclusive and diverse environment for the Beach Family.
The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Basic Needs department assists and immediately serves students who have been displaced, experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, an emergency, and/or a crisis. Basic Needs provides services and resources to remove barriers and empower students to persist and thrive in their educational journey towards academic success.
, with support from Student Health Services, Bob Murphy Access Center, and Counseling and Psychological Services, aims to promote personal well-being, from a holistic approach, by empowering members of the Long Beach State University (LBSU) community to make healthy lifestyle choices. Various educational opportunities are offered through Beach Balance, including programs about nutrition, stress management, biofeedback, and overall health education.

The Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC) at CSU Long Beach’s mission is to assist over 2,700 students with disabilities at CSU Long Beach to achieve their educational degrees and prepare them to be career ready after graduation. Since beginning in 1973, BMAC has supported over 12,553 students in graduating from CSU Long Beach.
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s diverse and active campus life reflects its student body. With restaurants, student organizations, and hundreds of small and large events, the University offers various programs and services to help students feel engaged and supported throughout their academic careers.
The Office of Club Sports & Recreation serves our student organizations that engage in more than 40 activities from Dance to Hiking to Water Polo. Our student-run groups are advised by a dedicated staff of advisors and are assisted by a student staff that help to provide opportunities for activities day, night and on various weekends, both on and off campus.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) helps students meet the personal challenges associated with identifying and accomplishing academic, career, and life goals. Services include short-term counseling for individuals, group counseling, career development counseling, referral services, psychoeducational workshops, and crisis intervention.
The is a 126,500-square-foot, two-story, state-of-the-art recreation facility located on the east side of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñState University, Long Beach campus. The facility is a hub for recreational activities, programs, and opportunities for Intramural Sports, Fitness, and Wellness services.
