October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM)

The Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (), in partnership with the National Cyber Security Alliance (), annually recognizes October as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.  This year’s theme is “See Yourself In Cyber”.

Together, we can help improve our security-conscious culture at the Beach!.

In October, we will share cybersecurity-related topics and tips most relevant to our campus.  These topics will be added below as they are made available.

Webinars

Learn more about Cyber Security throughout the month of October by attending a free CSU webinar. There are a range of topics to learn from including best practices to stay safe from cyber-crime, financial crimes, and phishing threats. See to join and learn more. 

Poster Contest

Ӱ students are invited to submit a poster that explains what cybersecurity means to you and what actions to take to safeguard your devices and personal information. Examples may include enabling multi-factor authentication, using strong passwords, phishing awareness, etc. 

If you are interested in this CSU-wide multimedia contest, see the Ӱ student .  Ӱ submissions must be sent to ISO@csulb.edu with subject line "Poster Contest" by December 1, 2022, 5pm PST.  The top three entries will receive a prize and earn CSU-wide recognition.
