My research encompasses culturally and linguistically responsive/sustaining pedagogy, student and parent engagement, and participatory policymaking. These areas of research are reflected in my current work with the CSU Center to Close the Opportunity Gap (CCOG) as well as the topics and themes discussed in the Liberal Studies classes I teach.
