About Fellows

Through its six departments - Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geological Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, and Science Education - the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) provides a pipeline of superbly trained researchers, leaders and teachers for ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñand the nation.

Over 12,000 strong, our alumni distinguish themselves in industry, the health professions, and academia. They found new companies, lead major corporations, and pioneer research leading to the commercialization of revolutionary advances in many areas of our lives. Fellows, through their membership support and active participation, are vital stakeholders in the future success of all CNSM students.

A student-centered academic program infused with hands-on, inquiry-based laboratory and field experiences is the cornerstone of an education in science and math. We take pride in graduating "bench-ready" scientists well versed in the practice of analysis and discovery, who distinguish themselves technically in graduate and professional programs, and the workplace.

Fellows are essential to our efforts to ensure that student instruction keeps pace with advances in science and technology. Support from our Fellows assists with College priorities such as:

  • Tuition and research scholarships as well as travel support for student presentations at regional and national scientific conferences.
  • State-of-the-art laboratories, instrumentation and classroom facilities.
  • Funding for student/faculty research, endowed chairs and curriculum enhancements
