Minor in Business
While obtaining the Bachelor of Science in HCA, our undergraduate students may also pursue a business administration minor in several options including Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from College of Business.
Information Systems required courses:
- IS 233 Introduction to Business Data Analytics and Programming
- IS 340 Business Application Programming
- IS 380 Database Management
- IS 385 Systems Analysis and Design
Already in the Health Care Administration (HCA) Program:
- IS 300 Management Information Systems (Substituted by HCA 416)
IS 300 will be a co-requisite for IS 340, 380, and 385, effective in the 2022-2023 university catalog, students will need to complete HCA 416 (which is substituted for IS 300 for HCA majors) either before they enroll, or in the same semester they enroll, in these courses.

The Apostle Enterprise Lab (AEL) program is a two-course sequence that allows students to study entrepreneurship from idea to launch to execution. Additional information is available at csulb.edu/ael.
