Dr. Paul Ayegba
Dr. Paul Onubi Ayegba is an Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He received his BEng. and MEng. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria. He received his first PhD in Chemical Engineering (Multiphase-Flow) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. A part of his first PhD was done in the department of Mechanical Engineering at University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñBerkeley, CA, USA as a Fulbright Visting Student. He received a second PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal-Fluids) from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France. He went on to do a postdoc in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
Ayegba is a recipient of several awards including as Fulbright Award, Petroleum Technology Development Overseas Scholarship Award, MIT Postdoctoral Affiliate Award, Leopold Escande Toulouse INP Prize 2022, etc.
Prior to joining ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, Dr. Paul worked as a lecturer at Federal Polytechnic Idah, Nigeria, as a compliance monitoring engineer at the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, Nigeria and as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA.
His research areas are in thermal-fluids (high pressure flow boiling, microgravity flow boiling, theoretical modelling etc.), multiphase flow (gas-liquid flow, liquid-liquid flow, gas-liquid-liquid flow, drag reduction etc.) and machine learning (modelling, control, optimization etc.). He a published several journal articles in these areas.
